The Zoology program offers B.A., B.S.,P.S.M., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees for students interested in the scientific study of animals. The faculty maintains expertise in ecology and ecosystem studies; genetics, evolution and population biology; fisheries biology and aquaculture; environmental toxicology; and wildlife ecology and management. In collaboration with other life-science programs at SIUC, Zoology staff and students engage in interdisciplinary scholarship and training activities that extend from molecular to ecosystem levels.
